ADHD Awareness Month
The motion
That the Parliament recognises October 2021 as ADHD Awareness Month; believes that ADHD is still highly stigmatised, underdiagnosed and under-resourced; understands that people who suffer from ADHD are more likely to struggle with other conditions such as anxiety and sleep disorders; believes that the UK and devolved parliaments have a duty to do more to raise awareness of the condition in order to tackle stereotypes associated with ADHD; further believes that despite the challenges presented by AHDH, it also has many positive attributes, and celebrates the achievements of many high profile public figures in fields as diverse as politics and sport, who have spoken out about their experience of living with ADHD.
