The motion

That the Parliament commends Suzie Gallagher, who works with Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (SFAAD), for setting up a click and deliver service for the overdose reversal medicine, Naloxone, from her own house in May 2020; believes that Suzie, from Larkfield, is playing a vital role in helping reduce the number of drug-related deaths in Inverclyde; notes that her initiative has been named Pioneering Project of the Year by the SCVO at the Scottish Charity Awards; understands that Suzie is sending out 60 to 70 Naloxone kits each week, with members of the public coming forward and offering to carry them; believes that Suzie’s efforts are enabling people across the community to play a crucial role in helping reduce drug-related deaths, and that this also helps raise awareness of Naloxone; thanks Suzie for her dedication to this issue, and applauds the wider work of SFAAD.
