Relaunch of Thurso Visitor Centre
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the relaunch of Caithness Horizons Museum in Thurso as the North Coast Visitor Centre from November 2021; acknowledges that its reopening, following its closure in February 2019 due to financial issues, will be valuable to the community; recognises that building work has been undertaken to repair the roof and install a new heating system and mobility lift; understands that the charity, High Life Highland, will be running the facilities and will provide innovative ideas to the services provided to both people in the community and tourists, and recognises that the North Coast Visitor Centre will be a resource of local heritage and history.
