Callander Climate Fringe Week
The motion
That the Parliament notes the success of the Callander Climate Fringe Week, which is a volunteer-led programme of events and activities to raise awareness and promote COP26, the UN Climate Change Conference, taking place in Glasgow on 31 October to 12 November 2021; recognises the urgency with which governments worldwide are required to take active measures to reduce climate emissions and promote a green industrial and economic transition; praises the efforts of volunteers in Callander and across Stirling for organising an inclusive and informative week for the public, and warmly welcomes similar community-led initiatives, which it considers will be pivotal to the journey to net zero.
