Congratulations to Old Leckie Farm
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Old Leckie Farm in Gargunnock, Stirling, on winning the Diversification Farmer of the Year award in the Farmers Weekly Awards 2021; recognises what it sees as important environmental values demonstrated by the farm, including its reduction of waste through reuse; further recognises the management of the farm as an example of diversification within the rural economy, which has branched out by selling its produce to households and businesses, in addition to utilising technology to manage stock levels and stay in touch with customers, and notes the positive impact that Farmers Weekly continues to have in connecting rural businesses across Stirling and Scotland, in promoting best practice and in celebrating the success of rural communities.
