Kirky Picture Palace Relaunched

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the return of the Kirky Picture Palace; commends Kirkintilloch Community Council, also known as Your Kirky, for its commitment to relaunching this popular leisure activity; understands that new film releases, in addition to family favourites, are scheduled to be screened; delights that the prices of tickets available online and through CreateED are modest for such a high-quality experience; pays tribute to the team of volunteers in planning these events in St Mary's Church Hall; recognises the often unseen hard work in ensuring that COVID-19 mitigations are in place; sends Your Kirky its best wishes for the ongoing provision and development of this venture, and delights that the constituents of Strathkelvin and Bearsden are able to access and enjoy cinema entertainment in their own locality.
