The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges Rene Knott of Gledfield, and her extended family, for taking the Poppy Pledge to raise £1,921 in 2021; notes that they are doing so in memory of Rene Knott’s sister, Rhona MacFarlane, who died in a road accident in 2019; understands that this fundraising challenge is in aid of Poppy Scotland, a charity that provides support for current and former members of the armed forces and their families, for its centenary year; further understands that the family’s fundraising activities included a cycle ride, a car boot sale, and, more recently, a soup and sweet lunch, which raised £1,320; commends their efforts in raising a total of £7,413 through their activities, and wishes them further fundraising success.
