2021 Dyslexia Awareness Week in Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 5 to 10 November 2021 is Dyslexia Awareness Week in Scotland; notes that this year's theme, Destination Dyslexia: A Route Map, aims to make Scotland a society in which everyone understands dyslexia and how it impacts one in 10 children and many adults who are an integral and valuable part of the community; applauds Dyslexia Scotland for offering online, classroom, and in-person events from October to December; understands that Dyslexia Scotland North East is hosting an online event on 2 November for classroom teachers, teaching assistants and lecturers, and all others who work or volunteer in education, titled Dyslexia Q&A for Educators, which aims to provide the opportunity for participants to ask questions in a safe and open environment; encourages all who can to participate in this vital campaign, and wishes everyone involved with Dyslexia Awareness Week in Scotland the very best in 2021 and continued success in the future.
