The Machan Trust, Larkhall, Given Volunteer Friendly Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Machan Trust, Larkhall, on been recognised by Volunteer Action South Lanarkshire with a Volunteer Friendly Award for its continued excellence in sustaining high standards; commends the inspiring efforts of the Trust in its work with children, young people, families, volunteers and the community in Larkhall and surrounding areas; notes that, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has quickly adapted its way of working, including by providing online cookery lessons and running youth groups and outdoor-based activities that are compliant with the restrictions; recognises its focus on its volunteers' emotional wellbeing; applauds the staff and volunteers on delivering a successful summer hub at Craigbank Primary School throughout the school holidays in what were challenging circumstances, and wishes all involved with the Trust the very best for the future.
