Remembering Auld Ayr
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the work of Richard Devine and Ken Nairn of the “Remembering Auld Ayr” Facebook group; understands that the group provides a platform for current and former residents of Ayr to share their memories and pictures of the town, and learn more about the history of Ayr; applauds them for hosting local historical tours exploring Ayr’s fascinating history; appreciates the hard work of the team that runs the group and makes it an enjoyable and safe platform for everyone; congratulates Remembering Auld Ayr for inspiring community spirit and pride in the town, as well as keeping its history alive for future generations, and wishes the group and the town of Ayr all the best for the future.
