Glasgow's Clockwork Orange Receives 4G Upgrade
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Strathclyde Partnership for Transport and the BT Group on the announcement that Glasgow's Subway is now 4G ready; notes the reports that EE has completed the installation of 4G connections in all of Glasgow’s 15 Subway stations, allowing Police, Fire and Rescue and Ambulance services the ability to connect to the Emergency Services Network (ESN); understands that the ESN gives emergency service respondents immediate access to vital data in live situations and enables critical communications along the entire Subway route, and welcomes EE's confirmation that this upgrade will also benefit everyday subway users with access also made available to commercial 4G services, ensuring that Glaswegians can experience the benefits of being connected to 4G on their daily commutes.
