Callendar Park, Falkirk, the Perfect Stage for Round 3 of the National Cyclo-Cross Trophy Series

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Falkirk Junior Bike Club, which worked in partnership with Falkirk Community Trust to organise an event that saw 700 riders visit the town and help keep Falkirk on the map; believes that, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the organisers and the army of volunteers, Callendar Park is now recognised UK wide as one of the premier venues for Cyclo-Cross racing, and congratulates the winners over the two-day event, Scott Racing’s Nick Craig in the Vet 50-59 men's, Pedal Power Loughborough's Michael Davies in the Vet 60 men's, HOPE Factory Racing's Paul Oldham in the Vet 40 men's, Ceris Styler in the Vet 40 women's, Catriona Ross in the Vet 50 women's and Nicola Davies in the Vet 60 women's, Aelwn Davies in the under-14 girls', Cat Ferguson in the under-16 girls', Leon Atkins in the under-14 boys' and Alfie Amey in the under-16 boys', Ella Maclean-Howell of Tofauti Everyone Active in the Junior girls', Nathan Smith of Garden Shed UK RibbleVergeSport in the Junior men's, Josie Nelson of Team Coop-Hitec Prodcuts in the Elite and under-23 women's, and, in the final race, the Elite and under-23 men's, Corran Carrick-Anderson, who won by 64 seconds over the runner-up.
