Haddington and Dunbar Town Centres Show Resilience
The motion
That the Parliament notes that it was recently reported that Haddington and Dunbar high streets are showing great resilience and continuing to draw customers into town centres; acknowledges what it sees as the importance of local traders and small businesses within the local community, highlighting their positive impact on the local economy; reinforces the belief that it is important to shop local, especially as areas recover from the COVID-19 pandemic; commends the Scottish Government for what it considers its commitment to 20-minute neighbourhoods, and notes what it sees as the importance of involving local communities in such planning.
