Danestone Primary Receives Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award from UNICEF
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Danestone Primary School in Aberdeen, which has recently been awarded the Rights Respecting Schools gold award from UNICEF; understands that the gold award is granted by UNICEF UK to schools which have fully embedded children’s rights throughout the school in their policies, practice and ethos; further understands that the gold accreditation is valid for a total of three years, after which the school can choose to be re-accredited at gold status; understands that schools across the country can be awarded bronze, silver or gold accreditation, and recognises that achieving such an award is a remarkable achievement.
