A Win for Beavers
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that beavers are a protected species; considers that translocation rather than killing of beavers is a necessary measure to tackle the nature emergency; notes the recent court ruling that NatureScot erred in law in granting licences to kill beavers without giving a statement of reasons; looks forward to NatureScot remedying its approach in future, and celebrates that this ruling will encourage accountability and transparency, benefiting conservationists and farmers.
