Expansion of Orkney Brewery

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes a £300,000 investment at the Orkney Brewery, which will create five new jobs at the Quoyloo site; understands that there will be an expansion of the visitor centre kitchen, improved temperature control mechanisms and the addition of a new in-house kegging plant that will help reduce transport and packaging; considers this sort of investment to be crucial to the long-term sustainable future of Orkney’s food and drink sector, and wishes the Orkney Brewery all the best for a swift completion of this major development project.
