Tribute to Andrew Eadington of Killin Mountain Rescue
The motion
That the Parliament offers its sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Andrew Eadington, who tragically passed away at the age of 26 in October 2021; acknowledges the incredible work Andrew did volunteering for Killin Mountain Rescue during his life and the positive impact he had on the many people he met on and off the mountain; notes Andrew’s incredible commitment and knowledge of the Trossachs and Breadalbane areas, where he spent his childhood helping his father gather sheep, which led him to naturally progress to becoming a valued member of the Killin Mountain Rescue team; honours what it sees as the vital work that Killin Mountain Rescue does, saving dozens of lives a year, and that this work would not be possible without volunteers like Andrew, and continues to support and champion volunteers like Andrew across the many charities and organisations who provide vital services to communities across Scotland
