South Ayrshire Clean-Up Campaign

The motion

That the Parliament commends the work of the South Ayrshire Clean-up Campaign, which is aiming to collect 1,000,000 pieces of litter from across South Ayrshire in 2021; understands that so far this year, 828,963 pieces of litter have been collected during 2,579 volunteer hours; recognises that the campaign is supported by a large number of volunteers, and other groups such as Don’t Trash Ayr, who dedicate their free time to keeping South Ayrshire clean and beautiful; congratulates the campaign on spreading the message that littering is anti-social and an environmental and public health concern, and wishes the campaign and all volunteers every success in reaching their goal by the end of the year.
