Morton’s Team Talk Named Best Para-Football Project
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Morton in the Community initiative, Team Talk, on being named the Best Para-Football Project at the SFA Grassroots Awards; understands that the project, which was set up in 2019 by Greenock-based club's community arm, provides a space for men to talk to their peers and build friendships in a bid to help alleviate the stigma around men’s mental health; notes that Team Talk sessions are held every Monday evening at the club's ground, Cappielow, and that, to help make the initiative as accessible as possible, no registration is required; commends Morton in the Community for its commitment to helping reduce the suicide rate among young men in Inverclyde by offering a safe environment for them to come together and discuss any issues that they might be facing, and wishes the project all the best for the future as it continues to provide a vital service in Inverclyde.
