The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Paul Chalmers, who is a film student from Ayr, on being named a finalist in the prestigious British Short Film Awards for his film, Goodbye Joicey, which was made at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic; notes that it focuses on those who lived through the so called lad culture that was prevalent in the late 1990s and early 2000s; acknowledges that it was made as part of Paul's BA in Performance course at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) using the innovative digital methods of teaching employed by UWS during the pandemic, and wishes Paul well both as he continues his course and for the awards.
