Ayrshire College Students Graduate from Employability Course

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the group of Ayrshire College students who recently graduated from the college’s employability course, Project SEARCH, which operates from Culzean Castle Country Park and is run in partnership with National Trust Scotland and Girvan Youth Trust; understands that the programme is open to anyone aged 17 to 29 in South Ayrshire who faces barriers to learning; notes that the students take part in rotational work placements, including retail, gardening, and housekeeping, and are supported in finding work once the programme finishes, with one student already securing employment with Asda, and wishes the graduates well as they enter the world of work.
