Monkton Community Council to Launch CPR Sessions

Lodged by Sharon Dowey Standard Motion 27 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of Monkton Community Council as it prepares to launch training sessions on CPR; notes that attendees will be trained on how to perform CPR and operate a defibrillator and that the courses, which will be led by a qualified instructor, will last just over an hour; believes that CPR can dramatically increases the chances of survival from cardiac arrest by helping to keep blood and oxygen flowing; encourages more community councils to follow in Monkton’s footsteps, and wishes it well in training members of the community on how to use such potentially life-saving tactics.
