Firemill Pizza and Grill, Scottish Italians Awards Finalist
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Firemill Pizza and Grill, which is based in Milltimber, Aberdeen, on being shortlisted in the Best Pizza category at the Scottish Italian Awards 2021; understands that it is a small, family-run business, which started during the COVID-19 pandemic out of a converted trailer, with its authentic recipes drawing inspiration from the owner's time spent in Tuscany; notes that it is the north-east's sole representative in the category, with 25 businesses shortlisted; understands that the finalists participated in a cook-off, requiring the preparation of both a margarita and a signature pizza of their choice, to impress a judging panel. including the celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli; notes that the Scottish Italian Awards gala dinner and ceremony takes place on 28 November; sends its best wishes to Firemill Pizza and Grill, all of the finalists and the event organisers, and hopes for a successful and entertaining event.
