Dementia Friendly Prestwick Shortlisted for Top Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the community project, Dementia Friendly Prestwick, on being shortlisted in the Streets and Spaces category at the inaugural Scotland Loves Local Awards; believes that it has transformed the town’s promenade into a more accessible, welcoming and inviting space for people living with dementia; acknowledges that the project is driven by fantastic volunteers who have helped build an inclusive community, and wishes the group well at the upcoming awards ceremony, which will be hosted by STV’s Seán Batty.
