SwimWild and UHI to Launch Online Resource for Wild Swimmers
The motion
That the Parliament commends the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) and SwimWild for their project that will introduce a new online resource for wild swimmers; notes the important emphasis that will be placed on safety, by supplying information on the accessibility and difficulty at site-specific locations; welcomes this as an educational tool for water safety and enjoying wild swimming responsibly; commends UHI and SwimWild for this innovative idea; believes that it could have added helpful impacts for mental health and wellbeing, as well as providing much-needed awareness and safety information regarding swimming outdoors; congratulates UHI and SwimWild on their efforts, and wishes them every success with this venture.
