Ayrshire Distillery Launches Inaugural Whisky

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the team at Lochlea Distillery on releasing its first single malt whisky, which is produced at Lochlea Farm near Tarbolton, the home and workplace of Robert Burns from 1777 to 1784; understands that it has been quietly distilling, casking, and maturing whisky since it was built in 2017; acknowledges that it has provided jobs and will help to boost the area's economy, and wishes the team well as the whisky launches in the UK and across 10 other markets in Europe and North America.
