Give a Dog a Bone, Troon

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the work of Give a Dog a Bone at its community space in Troon, Ayr; notes the work of this fantastic organisation, which was founded in 2013 to offer financial assistance to help older people adopt a dog; recognises the invaluable contribution that its Troon community space plays in tackling loneliness and isolation; notes that the space was set up in 2018 to offer both human and canine companionship and sees between 100 to 150 visitors a week; further notes the role that it plays in getting shelter dogs adopted, and praises its continued work in helping owners, such as through its dog food banks within the community space.
