Friends of Newton Park

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Friends of Newton Park for receiving a Certificate of Recognition from the charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful, as part of the It’s Your Neighbourhood initiative; understands that the scheme sets out to celebrate and support volunteer groups that look after their local environment and contribute to the community; recognises that community groups play an important role in caring for the environment and aim to reduce the impact of climate change; applauds Friends of Newton Park for all of their hard work in maintaining the park and its gardens, in addition to organising events for the community throughout the year, and wishes the group every success for the future.
