Scottish Mesothelioma Network Team Wins the Innovation Category at the Scottish Health Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Mesothelioma Network team on winning the Innovation Category of the Scottish Health Awards; understands that the Scottish Health Awards are the most prestigious and recognised awards for people working across NHS Scotland and its partners who deliver high-quality health and social care services to the people of Scotland; further understands that Scotland has some of the highest incidents of mesothelioma globally due to its industrial past; notes that the Scottish Mesothelioma Network is a national team with clinical leads and nurses in five cities across Scotland, a weekly multidisciplinary team meeting, national Quality Performance Indicator (QPI) targets, and a focus on equitable care and access to life-changing trials; welcomes that the network was built with patients, for patients, and was funded by the partners, Mesothelioma UK and Macmillan Cancer Support, and congratulates the whole team on its continued success.
