Love Scotland's Colleges Week

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the #LoveScotlandsColleges campaign week and commends all colleges in Scotland for the work they do in providing world-class education and skills training to over 240,000 students each year, delivering over 70 million hours of learning annually; recognises that Scotland’s colleges are crucial for their students and staff, communities, businesses, and the economy; celebrates the outstanding innovation, hard work and best practice that takes place across Scotland's colleges every day; considers that colleges will play a vital role in supporting Scotland’s recovery from the pandemic, supporting industry to rebuild and re-engage its workforce, maximising employment opportunities, and addressing the mental health and wellbeing of our communities; welcomes the #LoveScotlandsColleges campaign as an opportunity to highlight the importance of Scotland’s colleges nationally, and wishes everyone involved with the campaign and everyone engaged in college education and skills training the very best.
