Lyth Arts Centre Receives £60,000 of National Lottery Funding

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Lyth Arts Centre (LAC) on receiving funding of £60,000 from the National Lottery in the latest round of Creative Scotland Open Fund awards; notes that these funds will aim to support a programme of activities highlighting environment and climate action called The Land for Those that Work it: Caithness and East Sutherland Climate Beacon, which is in partnership with the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), and the mental-health project, Out of the Blue; welcomes the return of the art centre's festive activities and what it sees as the continued growth of the Caithness Artists in Residence scheme, and wishes all those involved in Lyth Arts Centre's projects success in their creative endeavours.
