Premier Your Store in Greenock Praised at Scottish Grocer Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Premier Your Store in Greenock on being named Symbol Store of the Year at the Scottish Grocer Awards; notes that the family-run store opened in 2018, and is operated by Jai Dhillon with the support of his four children; understands that judges were looking for operational excellence, strong business and staff training plans, evidence of local community engagement, and use of new technology to support shoppers; understands that Jai kept his store open, even during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure his customers had access to groceries; further understands that Jai has plans to open a new Post Office in the area, in a bid to offer more services to the local community; thanks Jai for his commitment to his customers, and wishes him all the best as he seeks to expand his business.
