Ellie Beaton, Scots Singer of the Year

That the Parliament congratulates Ellie Beaton of Rothienorman on being named Citty Finlayson Scots Singer of the Year at the at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards; understands that Ellie has been part of the traditional music scene in the north east for years, and has sung in the annual Bothy Ballads Champion of Champions event in Elgin; applauds Ellie on her success and all that she does to promote the traditional music of the north east of Scotland, and wishes her well for the future.
