Scottish Youth Parliament Success for Anna Hendry and Felix Schofield

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Anna Hendry and Felix Schofield on being elected to represent the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency at the Scottish Youth Parliament; extends its thanks and encouragement to all seven candidates who stood in the recent election for their enthusiasm and commitment; pays tribute to their willingness to offer their skills and experience to advocate on behalf of others in these significant roles; understands that Anna Hendry is a pupil of Turnbull High School in Bishopbriggs who is passionate about ensuring that people of all ages should be heard by decision-makers, and her special interest is in finding solutions to reverse climate change; further understands that Felix Schofield, a pupil of Lenzie Academy, aims to become the voice of the voiceless, firmly believing that the meaningful input of young people can change policies, as proven through the recent lowering of the electoral voting age to 16; delights at the enthusiasm with which Anna and Felix are embracing these roles, following the declaration of results on 22 November 2021, and sends every best wish to Anna and Felix as they embark on their duties as members of the Scottish Youth Parliament.
