I.J McIntosh Butchers Working Towards Net Zero
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates I.J McIntosh Butcher for moving to its new custom built and eco-friendly premises, starting its plans to become Scotland’s greenest butcher; applauds what it sees as the fantastic initiatives being undertaken by I.J McIntosh to be more carbon neutral, investing in equipment, lights, and fans that are low wattage and refrigeration insulation and wall cladding that has a low environmental impact; notes that, in addition, it makes sure all of its produce is sourced locally and uses recycled packaging; further notes that it also has plans to put in solar panels and purchase an electric vehicle to make deliveries; understands the important part that businesses like I.J McIntosh play in Scotland reaching Net Zero, and hopes that this great work can continue in the future.
