Bargarran Primary School Achieves Digital Schools Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Bargarran Primary School in Erskine on achieving a Digital Schools Award, in recognition of the school’s efforts to promote the use of digital technology; understands that the award is presented by Education Scotland to schools showing dedication towards the use of technology in enhancing learning experiences and supporting children to develop digital technical skills that are required in an increasingly digital society; appreciates that the school’s digital leaders gave a presentation to an award assessor to explain their leadership role in supporting other pupils to use new technology or assist with improving their digital literacy skills, and notes that the assessor’s report stated that Bargarran Primary School is building a strong digital technology culture among staff, learners and parents and that it has a strong commitment to ensuring children’s digital experiences across the school will develop their confidence in the safe purpose, use and creation of digital technologies.
