Kilpatrick School Awarded Fifth Eco-School Green Flag
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kilpatrick School on receiving its fifth Eco-Schools Green Flag; understands that Eco-Schools Green Flags are visible indications of a school's commitment to learning about sustainability and an internationally-recognised accreditation for excellence in sustainable education; recognises that, in order to get an Eco-Schools Green Flag, there is an award criteria in which schools have to take action in three of 10 topics, and that to fulfil this criteria, the school's contribution is based on seven elements; commends Kilpatrick School on fulfilling this criteria by completing a range of activities including litter-picking, posters and radio adverts promoting sustainability; notes that the school has a comprehensive plan for further sustainability measures, which could not be completed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and wishes the school good luck in its future endeavours on sustainability.
