Davie Wilson, 40 years of Community Fundraising and Involvement

The motion

That the Parliament commends Davie Wilson, of Newmains, on his selfless volunteering efforts and for raising over £200,000 throughout the last 40 years for many local charitable causes, including Wishaw General Cancer Ward 7, MND Scotland, Newmains Gala Day, McMillian Nurses, and Suicide Prevention; considers that these fundraising efforts have been extremely important in helping to support local people and community events, and in playing a pivotal role in encouraging community spirit and assisting those in need; commends the efforts and commitment of Davie, and wishes him all the very best for the future.
