That the Parliament congratulates Andrea Wyllie on becoming a Queen’s Nurse; understands that Andrea, 51, qualified as a mental health nurse in 1996, then as a general nurse in 1999, and has been Chief Executive of the Greenock Medical Aid Society for four years; understands that the Queen’s Nurse award will provide Andrea with a platform to highlight causes close to her heart, which she says centre around ensuring older people in the Medical Aid Society’s care homes, Bagatelle and Glenfield, are continually provided with compassionate, personal care; further understands that Andrea was nominated for the programme last year and underwent nine months of development and one-to-one coaching prior to receiving the award; commends Andrea’s commitment to nursing and ensuring that those resident in the Medical Aid Society’s homes receive the best possible care, and wishes her all the best for the future.
