Renfrewshire Leisure’s Craig Dalziel Highly-Commended for Cycling Scotland’s Annual Achievement Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Craig Dalziel, Bikeability Scotland Co-ordinator for Renfrewshire Leisure, for being highly-commended in Cycling Scotland’s Annual Achievement Award category; understands that Craig’s commendation was in recognition of his ongoing dedication to the national cycle training programme, which has resulted in record delivery figures for level 2 on-road cycle training in Renfrewshire; further understands that, since Bikeability Scotland began in 2010, more than 350,000 pupils have received cycle training across Scotland, and appreciates that, through Craig’s inspirational work, children in Renfrewshire are learning cycling skills that keeps them safe when using roads and encourages them to cycle for exercise and as a form of active environmentally-friendly travel.
