Congratulating the Winners of the CDN Awards 2021

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates all winners, highly commended and commended entrants at the College Development Network (CDN) Awards 2021; notes that the CDN Awards celebrate the talent and skills of both college staff and learners alike; celebrates the winners from the Glasgow Kelvin constituency, City of Glasgow College, in winning the Marketing and Communications Award, and Glasgow Kelvin College, in winning the Skills Development Award; praises the City of Glasgow College student, Violet Hejazi, for being named Student of the Year for her extraordinary efforts in education, made all the more impressive when considering she arrived in Glasgow as an unaccompanied teenage refugee from Syria with limited English; believes that the further education sector has demonstrated itself to be resilient, responsive, innovative and impactful in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, and thanks all staff and students for their incredible efforts in the most challenging of circumstances.
