Recognition of Falkirk District Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the past and present members across Falkirk district who have served in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders; understands that current members of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Association Grangemouth Branch recently held a dedication ceremony for a memorial stone in Camelon Cemetery; recognises the service of the armed forces in protecting communities and that their continued efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to help and support health services and other key frontline services goes above and beyond the call of duty; welcomes the new memorial as a place where people can pay their respects to those who have given their service; thanks all servicemen and women, and conveys appreciation for the work that they continue to undertake to protect and support people both at home and abroad.
