The motion

That the Parliament recognises that the new £21 million Greenock Health and Care Centre scooped a top honour for its unique and striking design at the Glasgow Institute of Architects Design Awards; understands that the facility, designed by Hoskins Architects, won in the healthcare category; notes that the new healthcare centre houses three large GP practices and a range of clinical and community services, including a children’s department and community dental services; believes that this approach to bringing more services under one roof will help to improve health outcomes for patients; thanks the Scottish Government for its investment in this award-winning facility, and wishes the staff all the best as they continue to serve the local community during one of the most challenging periods in the NHS’s history.
