National Lottery Community Fund Awards Almost £400,000 to Five Inverclyde Organisations

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the recent announcement of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to five organisations in Inverclyde, totalling £371,269; notes that Branchton Community Centre received £7,500 towards purchasing soft play equipment, toys and learning resources for their parents and toddlers group; understands that CVS Inverclyde received £8,700 to carry out exploratory work focusing on the best use of the Inverclyde Community Hub, in order to best meet the needs of the area post-pandemic; recognises that the Inverclyde Community Development Trust received £149,456 to establish a community, membership-led zero waste pantry in Port Glasgow, while the Inverclyde Shed received £10,000 to create a new community growing space in Port Glasgow; acknowledges that Inverclyde Women’s Aid received £195,613 to restart its specialist domestic abuse counselling support service; thanks the NLCF for continuing to distribute vital funding to organisations across Inverclyde, which will help the community to establish and deliver initiatives that will meet the needs and interests of local people, and wishes all the groups all the best as they embark on these projects.
