St Machar Academy Receives Bronze Status from SCQF
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates St Machar Academy in Aberdeen, which has recently been awarded bronze status in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) School Ambassador recognition programme; understands that the School Ambassador programme allows schools the opportunity to learn about the benefits of the SCQF and the wider ways in which it supports learners; further understands that the programme gives schools a set of criteria to work towards, within each level, while at the same time allowing the SCQF to highlight some of the work taking place within schools across the country; notes that there are five different themes, with each theme having an outline of what a school will need to show in order to obtain bronze, silver or gold status, and considers that achieving such an award is a remarkable achievement for both staff and pupils.
