Recognising the Efforts of Boddam Chip Shop in the Aftermath of Storm Arwen

The motion

That the Parliament commends what it sees as the extraordinary efforts of the community in Boddam in offering support to neighbours in need, who were often without electricity or running water in the aftermath of Storm Arwen; applauds those who helped in whatever way they were able, offering food, hot drinks and, in some cases, opening their properties to people in need; believes that this exemplifies true grit and selfless community spirit; recognises, in particular, the efforts of Boddam Chip Shop which, it understands, helped ensure that the residents of Boddam and the surrounding area received a hot meal during this challenging time, and wishes everyone at Boddam Chip Shop success in their future endeavours.
