Lady Alice Primary Pupils Deliver Climate Action Plan to SCDI
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates P7 pupils from Lady Alice Primary School in Greenock on winning a competition to showcase their vision of what Inverclyde and Scotland could look like in 2030 to the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI); understands that the pupils presented their ideas in a short film, which included using a micro drone to pick up plastic in the water, improved electric cars and better recycling, and that they were a big hit with industry experts on the judging panel; further understands that the class shared the Future Voice award with Kilmacolm Primary and Avoch Primary; believes that those in positions of power and influence must listen to the views of young people on how to tackle the climate crisis, and commends SCDI for providing schools with this opportunity.
