Woodland Clean Up Community Initiative

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Woodland Clean Up Murdostoun, in Lanarkshire, for its tireless, community-coordinated, weekly litter picking, come rain or shine; understands that the group has collected and removed over 10,000 industrial sacks of rubbish; commends the group for its work in striving to enhance the natural beauty of the local area, improving the safety for all to enjoy the great outdoors, educating others on the disposal of waste, and making a considerable positive impact on the environment; acknowledges what it sees as the exemplary attitude of all the volunteers involved and commends them for being active and caring citizens in keeping the local environment free of discarded rubbish, and wishes everyone involved continued success in the future.
