Asda's Bringing Communities Back Together Fund, Glasgow Projects
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the grants made by the Asda Foundation’s Bringing Communities Back Together Fund to projects in Glasgow; understands that the fund was launched to reunite communities, celebrate togetherness and support groups as COVID-19 restrictions began to ease across the UK during July-September 2021; recognises that grants of between £250 and £1,000 where awarded to support local good causes in Glasgow either to get activities back on track or hold a get-together celebration; understands that five Asda stores in Glasgow have supported 10 projects with funding totalling £7,419, and commends the Asda Foundation for making what is sees as a real difference to local projects in Glasgow.
