The Show Will Go On in Kirkcudbright Thanks to Funding

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcudbright Development Trust on securing funding of £35,681 from the SUEZ Communities Trust, through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund, to replace the wooden stage at the local harbour; understands that the development will now result in the stage being covered over, to allow all-year-round performances; believes that the work will be completed by the end of February 2022, to allow local and visiting performers to entertain the residents of Kirkcudbright and tourists alike; wishes Kirkcudbright Development Trust every success in the future as it creates suitable facilities in the area to the benefit of the community, and recognises what it sees as the important role played by SUEZ Communities Trust in funding worthwhile projects, which, it believes, are often denied financial support.
